SUA has expanded its reach across Tanzania through several specialized campuses. While its main hub is in Morogoro, the university also operates in other regions to bring education and research closer to different communities.

Edward Moringe Sokoine Campus


Morogoro, Tanzania

This is the heart and headquarters of the university, located in Morogoro. It is named after Tanzania’s second prime minister, Edward Moringe Sokoine, a passionate advocate for agricultural development.

This campus is the largest and oldest, housing the central administration, the main library, and several key colleges, including the College of Agriculture and the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Mazimbu Campus (Solomon Mahlangu Campus)


Morogoro, Tanzania

Also located in Morogoro, just a few kilometers from the Main Campus, is the Mazimbu Campus. It is officially named the Solomon Mahlangu Campus in honor of the South African freedom fighter.

Currently, this campus has a strong academic focus. It is home to the university’s College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CoNAS). This makes it a vital center for students and researchers specializing in foundational sciences.

Mizengo Pinda Campus


Katavi Region, Tanzania

Expanding its reach to the western part of Tanzania, SUA established the Mizengo Pinda Campus in the Katavi Region. The campus is named after the former Prime Minister of Tanzania, Hon. Mizengo Pinda.

This campus was officially launched in 2020. Its location in Katavi is strategic, aiming to serve the agricultural and natural resource management needs of the western and southern highland zones of Tanzania.
