The Mo-Kerry Scholarship Programme, jointly developed by the Mo Dewji Foundation and Kerry Group, provides fully sponsored, one-year training in food science, technology, and related disciplines. The programme integrates coursework, laboratory work, and industrial attachment within MeTL Group facilities and partner enterprises. Participants gain competencies in food safety, microbiology, nutrition science, product development, sensory evaluation, and sustainable processing-skills essential for value addition and food-system innovation.
This partnership between SUA and the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) promotes experiential learning and prepares graduates to become employable professionals and entrepreneurs capable of creating jobs, improving food quality, and contributing to national food security.
